Ajith and Silambarasan

February 8th, 2008 by ajithfans

Young actors take pride in showing their favorite
senior actors in their films. Earlier, it was MGR and now it is
Rajinikanth, whose clippings and posters are shown by others.

While this act shows their respect and affection
towards the seniors, it is also seen as a technique to attract the fans
of the big heroes.

Among the young heroes, Silambarasan has a habit of
showing co-star Ajith’s clippings or posters in his movies. “Ajith Sir
is not only a good artiste but also a good human being in the industry.
I like him very much”, says Silambarasan.

The young hero even nurtures a secret dream to act with Ajith in a film.

Trisha might have missed the chance of acting with
the superstar. But she is dancing with him for a single song. It will
be in ‘Kuselan’, Rajinikanth’s next film.

Wait. Trisha is not the only star who is dancing
with the superstar. The song has Kamal Haasan, Ajith, and Vijay as
well. The movie, portraying Rajini as a superstar, has a song sequence
featuring all these stars.

When director P. Vasu requested all these stars,
everyone immediately accepted to act. So, we will get to see many

Ajith will soon get rid of his beard.  Reason?  It
proves to be a hindrance when he plays with his child. So, what about
the get up for his forthcoming film, for which he was said to have
grown beard? No problem.

As per the story, Ajith appears with beard only in
the initial scenes. The rest of the movie features him with a cute
mustache without beard.

The handsome hero has now returned from Hong Kong,
where he acted in a fierce fighting scene. Ajith fought with some
strangers, who came to attack him, when he came out from Hong Kong
airport. Stunt Shiva has choreographed the scene thrillingly. The fight
features him with beard.

Ajith will remove his beard after a few days, as a few more sequences are to be shot featuring him with the beard in Chennai.

Welcome Katrina

January 31st, 2008 by ajithfans

In a sensational last minute twist, Ajit and his director Raju Sundaram
has managed to convince Katrina Kaif to do their Ayngaran produced film
in Tamil!

The film was to be originally done by Shriya, but after she did the
cameo dance number with Vadivel in INA, a furious Ajit refused to do
the film with her. Later there was a desperate attempt for patch up and
it looked like Shriya would make a comeback into the project, as the
talkie portion was to start in the first week of February in Ooty.

But Raju Sundaram and Ajit were still talking to Katrina who came down
to Chennai last week to meet her boy friend Salman Khan who was
shooting for the Hindi version of Pokkiri
at Binny Mills. This time they were able to convince Katrina who is one
of the hottest heroines in Bollywood especially after her Welcome turned out to be 2007’s biggest hit.

Katrina has so far done two films in south - Malleswari with Venkatesh in Telugu and Mammootty’s Balram versus Taradas
in Malayalam, both super hits. She is said to be “lucky” and now paired
with the hottest hero in Kollywood, the project has suddenly become
big. The market buzz is that Katrina is being paid a bomb, rumoured to
be 1 Crore to do this Ajit film.

Shriya’s patch up with Ajith?

January 19th, 2008 by ajithfans

The glam girl of South India is said to have changed her stand vis-à-vis item numbers.

The issue came up when she appeared for a song in
‘Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan’ and the lass reacted boldly saying that
she was not averse to appear in item numbers and that she would do it
in future too.

But, it is strongly rumored that, following sharp
reactions from the leading heroes, she has retreated from her position.
It was even said that she lost her chance to act opposite Ajith’s next,
directed by Raju Sundaram. She is believed to have lamented with some
reporters about the loss.

According to the reporters, she said that though she was very much in the reckoning, she was not considered in the final count.

The reporters, it is said, have advised her to
contact Ajith and settle the matter. Shriya. It seems, has made up her
mind to meet Ajith and hence awaiting his return from Hong Kong.

Since Raju Sundaram hasn’t announced the name of the heroine, Shriya has a fair chance to get roped in.

Ajith and his beard

December 27th, 2007 by ajithfans

Many think that Ajith is growing beard, because his
wife Shalini is carrying a child. But there is surprising news about
his beard. It is said that the beard is part of the get up for his next
film.

 View Ajith Gallery

Ajith is believed to be getting ready for the photo
session, which is likely to be held soon. The pooja will be conducted
in a grand manner within a couple of months.

It is worth recalling that Ajith was maintaining a
long hair when he was booked for Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul’. He did not
change the get up even when the film was delayed. In the meantime, he
acted in ‘Paramasivam’ with the long hair, saying that ‘Naan Kadavul’
was his dream project and hence he could not remove the hair.

There is no surprise, therefore, that the sincere actor is growing beard for his forthcoming film.

Vijay and Ajith - diametrically opposite

December 27th, 2007 by ajithfans

The two stars vying for the superstar status are Vijay and Ajith. Both Vijay and Ajith have carved a niche for themselves with a loyal fan following that they managed to garner over the years. While Ajith is commonly referred to as Thala by his fans, Vijay is called Ilaya Thalapathi.

Pokkiri & Billa

Here’s an analysis of how the year 2007 has been for these two stars. This year seems to have been a mixed baggage for both these actors. To put things in the right perspective, let us analyze their films from the beginning of the year. It began with Vijay’s Pokkiri pitted against Ajith’s Aalwar. While Pokkiri went on become one of Vijay’s biggest hits, Aalwar bit the dust, as it was just another run-on-the-mill Ajith movie offering nothing new for his fans. This phase was followed by a long absence of both these stars. Then Ajith returned in an all-new avatar in Kreedom, which was critically acclaimed and was lauded for his restrained performance. Unfortunately, the movie didn’t go down well with his fans, as it didn’t have all the elements that were usually expected in Thala’s film. The director even tried to change the climax of the movie a few days after it was released but it was a little too late as by then it was rejected by his fans as being too serious and not masala enough.

Come deepavali and it was time again for a clash between the two actors. Vijay’s Azhagiya Tamil Magan had Rahman’s music and a dual role for him. To match this, Ajith’s Billa a remake of the 1980 Rajinikanth hit was getting ready with a stellar cast and dashing promos. Call it fate or destiny, ATM made it alone to the theatres but wasn’t able to capitalize on it; blame it on the bad script or poor direction. The industry was pinning its hopes on Billa, which after many obstacles finally made it to the theatres on December 14, 2007. It couldn’t have given the box office a better reason to smile and end the year on a high. Billa finally did to Ajith, at the end of the year, what Pokkiri did to Vijay at the beginning. Good fortunes and luck couldn’t have struck them at diametrically opposite times of the year.

Billa now eyes Katrina

December 27th, 2007 by ajithfans

Ajith Kumar is on a roll with his Billa being praised by one and all for its packaging and his performance as the notorious gangster essayed by the superstar in the original. He is now playing a good hubby to wife Shalini who is in the family way and is expecting their first child during January.

Suhani

Ajith has decided to commence work on his next project under Raju Sundaram’s direction, earlier titled Akbar, after his familial commitments are over.

The director has decided to put this time in hand to good use by hunting for the leading ladies to be cast opposite Ajith. The script, he says, demands two heroines and one of them will be played by Suhani. The hunt for the other heroine has been going on for quite some time now. First it was Shriya who was touted to play the role, which slipped out due to lack of dates. Then Parvathi Melton was rumored to be his heroine, the latest to hit the news is that Raju Sundaram is in talks with Katrina Kaif and sources close to the director say that she has indeed consented. It sure will be a treat for fans to see their Thala opposite this bombshell from Mumbai.
