Meanwhile some of the vernacular media had informed that director Suraaj of Thalainagaram and Marudamalai fame has narrated a story to Ajith and that he will be directing his next film. However reliable sources revealed that it is Dhanush who would be teaming up with Suraaj for his next film. Hence when Behindwoods correspondent contacted Ajith’s office, his manager denied all the speculations associated with Ajith and Suraaj and informed us that an announcement on Ajith’s next film will come within a month’s time as he is busy currently wrapping up Billa.

Billa team back to Malaysia

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Everything about Billa seems to be quite secretive. Being a mega hit and a Rajini-starrer, expectations for this movie have been high from the day the project was announced. However, Billa seems to be progressing undercover away from the prying eyes of the media.

Billa

One of the reasons for lesser news about Billa could probably be due to the fact that it was filmed chiefly in Malaysia. Though neither the stills nor the trailer have been released so far, insiders say that the movie is almost done save for the postproduction work that is moving on at a faster pace.

However, two songs are yet to be filmed and the team is expected to travel to Malaysia in a few days time to film them. This is expected to be the final schedule of Billa that is expected to hit the screens for Diwali.

Ajith in Tharun Gopi’s next film

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Ajith in Tharun Gopi’s next film? Looks like good times are on for Tharun Gopi. Thimiru’s success got him Simbhu for Kaalai, and even before Kaalai has hit the screens, he’s got more great news. Producer Durai of Pithamagan fame contacted Tharun recently asking him to direct his next production. Obviously, Tharun said ‘Yes!’. And now, the word is that Durai then contacted Ajith, asking him to star in his next production. However, our Ultimate Star is very busy with Billa and hence has not yet been able to listen to the story. Will Durai strike a deal? Will Tharun win the bumper prize? It all depends on Thalai’s nod!

Ajith might be Akbar?

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Ajith’s Billa is now almost ready and if everything goes on well as expected then the movie might make it just in time for Diwali. With this being so, projects seem to be knocking at Ajith’s doors. If sources are to be believed, then the actor’s next project could very well be for London Karunas’ Ayngaran Films.

Ajith

Earlier, rumours were afloat in the Kollywood circles that Prabhu Deva would direct the movie. Well, now the focus has shifted to his elder brother Raju Sundaram. Gossip mills have it that when Raju approached Ajith with a story he seemed to have liked it and has given a go ahead signal. And the latest heart-throb, Shriya, could be Ajith’s arm candy in this film.

The movie is tentatively titled as Akbar, according to our sources and all details are expected to be announced formally in a few days. If everything falls in place, then Akbar may start rolling from December.

Friday, September 14th, 2007

Billa 2007 is one of the most awaited movies of this year. This film has evoked interest not only among Ajith’s fans but also from superstar’s fans who are waiting to see how the remake has shaped up. The film directed by Vishnuvardhan is nearing completion but surprisingly not a single still has been released till now.

Billa Ajith

Generally Shankar’s films are very stringently kept under wraps and when he teamed with Rajinikanth for Sivaji, the confidentiality associated with the film was of the highest order. But despite this, there were few stills that were released officially as well as leaked out through the media, which gave a fair idea about Super Star’s looks.

However, no stills of Billa 2007 have found their way to the hands of media be it Ajith’s Billa get up or the gypsy get up of his look alike. The production team is contemplating of releasing few images during the film’s audio release or even later than that, just before the Deepavali release of the actual film.

With other movies in the race already having come up with three sets of promotional photos, Ajith fans are feverishly waiting to get the first glimpse of their favorite idol as Billa.
