Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

Kreedom, the forthcoming film of Ajith and Trisha is getting completed and is sprinting towards the date of release. At this juncture, Ajith, the hero of the film is reported to be unhappy about the way in which publicity and promotional material of Kreedom were handled. The significance of marketing and

advertising in any field cannot be undervalued and more so in film industry where publicizing plays a key role in the success of a film. Expectations about a film chiefly rest with the stills that are circulated in the print and visual media. People form an image watching these promotional materials and throng to the theatres based on the quality of them. According to Ajith number of stills of Kreedom that are doing the rounds are highly inadequate. This has resulted in plummeting of excitement among his fans too. Hence in all likelihood, Ajith himself may take on the responsibility of publicity for Kreedom.

Monday, March 26th, 2007

Kreedom, a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster movie of the same name, is being expected with great excitement among Ajith’s fans. The stage is finally set for the release of the movie, which is coinciding with Ajith’s birthday on May 1st.
                                            Ajith

Stunt master Super Subbarayan is full of praises for Ajith as he has performed the stunt sequence in the climax scene without using a dupe. The scene where Ajith and debutant-villain Ajay perform, was shot for four days at Ennore Port in Chennai with around 500 container lorries. Sources close to Kreedom team say that the climax scene is the cynosure of the movie. It must be remembered that Ajith had met with an accident at Vizag, when doing a stunt earlier for the same movie, getting him bedridden for ten days.

One more good news for Ajithians - with expectations soaring high, it is anticipated that Ajith’s next movie - Billa will commence on April 13th or 14th.

Ajith dons Boopathy Pandian’s Raja Vesham

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

Boopathy Pandian’s latest hit Thiruvilayadal Arambam has elevated his status among the numerous producers of the industry who are competing with one another to rope him to direct their films. Initially he had promised to do a film for Lingusamy’s production house.
                                           Ajith
But a story narrated by Pandian is said to have enticed Oscar films Ravichandran who immediately agreed to fund his forthcoming film ‘Raja Vesham’. Like his all other previous projects, this film also will be a hardcore comedy which is undoubtedly Pandian’s forte.

After Kreedom and Billa 2007, Raja Vesham will be the next in line for ultimate star Ajith for whose fans the film is certain to provide a welcome change from serious element to comic relief. As regards Ajith, Raja Vesham is bound to be a mile stone in his film graph as he is donning an outright comedy role, perhaps for the first time in his career. Villain Ashish Vidyarthi who had always terrorized people with his high octane and intimidating demeanor will have a total image make over as a comedian in this film.

Ajit completes `Kireedom`!

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

Ajit has completed the entire shoot, except some minor patchwork of Kireedom. What more proof is required that Ajit is not only hard working but dedicated to his work?

Today, the actor is a complete professional, who hardly talks but delivers.
It is almost certain that Kireedom
will release on May 1, his birthday. The producers Suresh Balajee and
Adlabs are happy that they could wrap up such a big project in less
than three months.

The buzz is that Kireedom may turn out to be a big hit, as it has the right mix of entertainment and family sentiments.

Meanwhile, Ajit’s next film to be directed by director Vishnuvardhan
will start rolling from April end. Vishnu is already humming two tunes
composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja for Billa, which he feels is rocking.

Vishnu is planning to start the shoot in Malaysia from April 5, in some of the most exotic, never seen before locales. The new Billa will have a chic look given by Nirav Shah, the hottest cameraman in Bollywood after that glam show in Dhoom-2. Vishnu will have his regular team of veteran editor Sreekar Prasad and choreographer Kalyan.

Kireedom - Ajith comes all guns blazing

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

Ajith
will have his Kireedom release this summer amidst huge expectations.
Directed by debutant AL Vijay, the film stars Ajith, Trisha, Vivek,
Saranya, Cochin Haneefa and Raj Kiran in significant roles. Inspired by
a blockbuster Malayalam film of the late 1980s starring Mohanlal of the
same title, Kireedom is an action based family entertainer.

Ajith
plays an ordinary young man who loves his family and aspires to become
a police officer. Trisha plays his love interest and is a college
student. Raj Kiran plays Ajith’s father and an upright policeman. He
aspires to see his son become a top cop one day. Raj Kiran and Ajith,
it is said, shared a tremendous rapport during the shoot of Kireedom.
The movie is set in a small town in Tamil Nadu. A tale of father-son
sentiments, the movie has Saranya playing Ajith’s mother. Ajay Kumar, a
debutant from Hyderabad plays the villain. Vijay has shot the film
extensively in Vishakapatinam, Rajahmundry and Chennai. Says Vijay, "It
is not really the remake of Malayalam film Kireedom. Just the theme is
inspired by the movie."

"Working with a seasoned actor like Ajith for my
debut film is a great experience. He was very co-operative and has
contributed his best. His dedication and commitment to excel in the
role deserves special mention," adds Vijay.

GV Prakash (AR Rahman’s nephew) has come up with
five catchy songs for the movie. The young music director hogged the
limelight after a successful debut in Veyyil. Thiru has cranked the
camera, art is by Selva and editing is by Anthony. Kireedom is expected
for release on 1 May, 2007 coinciding with Ajith’s birthday.

Ajith’s paycheck hits the 30 crore mark

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

What if his recent flick sank without a trace at the box office? Ajith still has the producers swear by him. If credible sources are to be believed, take our words for it. Ajith has just clinched a five-movie deal with the corporate honcho Reliance’s Adlabs productions that has already
                                                ajith
forayed into movies by producing a few Hindi films. In an attempt to put down their roots down south, the company has decided to invest a whopping 500 crores in Kodambakkam.

Industry buzz also reveal that Ajith’s paycheck will be an astronomical 30 crores for the five movies planned to be made. An average of 6 crores per movie to be precise, which is sure to make his fellow mates go green with envy. That apart, Ajith’s opinion will be sought in deciding all aspects of the movies including director, technicians, and female leads. Quite a deal, agree?

Out of Ajith’s five movies, initially two movies will hit the floors anytime now. Besides, each movie will have a budget ranging from 30 to 40 crores. No wonder, Ajith is bowled over.

With the affluent Adlabs ready to invest in Tamil industry, how the directors make the most out of the opportunity remains to be seen. On the other hand, no official announcement has been released from the Ajith stable in this regard.
